Our Master Blender, Patrice Pinet, has created the three signature aromas for each of the following marques;
Our master blender has identified three key aromas within each marque and, crucially, shown how they can be traced back to specific elements of production. These range from characteristics of grapes from a particular cru to the influence of distillation on the wine and ageing in earth-floored warehouses.
These key aromas can be used as prompts when struggling to locate your own aromas in these marques, or to compare and contrast those found by others. The aromas can also be used to inspire mixology and gastronomic experimentation, pairing and recipes – and can also be used further as a platform to develop other sensory partners, products and opportunities.
Higher up the portfolio, beyond Initiale we never limit the aromas you may experience through the likes of L’Essence and Succession to just three as that feels counter to their aromatic complexity.
