Courvoisier launches Culture Compass

Courvoisier is proud to introduce Culture Compass, a brand new app for culture vultures and social spotters.
Last year, Courvoisier challenged it’s Future 500 members to pitch ideas for an innovative collaboration and revolutionary business proposition. The winning idea would win £10,000 funding to start their business and launch in collaboration with Courvoisier. A large number of submissions were received and the concept of Culture Compass was chosen as the idea or judges deemed most exciting to be brought to life.
Launching this September, available to download for free on iTunes, Culture Compass is a new app for internet and mobile devices that will allow users to fully engage and interact with the cultural landscape. Culture Compass sets to redefine the more restrictive definition of culture and open it up to a wider audience. The app allows you to upload your discoveries by sending an email or Tweeting with the hashtag #culturespot, or alternatively use it to look for exciting suggestions on what to do, see or hear. Using GPS technology to highlight events either recommended by the Culture Compass main magazine website, or other Culture Spotters, if an event piques your interest, you simply click on the icon to reveal the information and Culture Compass will guide you straight to the venue.

No matter how high-profile or underground the event might be, from ‘highbrow’ arts through to a talented up and coming singer at a local pub, Culture Compass welcomes its users to express what culture means to them. The result: a community of culture aficionados connecting, sharing and shaping the cultural landscape.
